MASTER DEGREESAfter acquiring a Bachelor's degree, students can apply for a Master's degree at the University of Burgundy.
The University of Burgundy offers more than 130 master programmes. They are mainly focused on research or professional training but combined research and professional masters are possible.

MASTER DEGREES IN ENGINEERING
The University of Burgundy houses three engineering schools :
- ESIREM : School of Materials Research and Engineering
- ISAT : Institute for Automotive and Sustainable Development
- ITII : Burgundy Engineering School of Industrial Techniques
Students are admitted via competitive examination or by application and interview depending on their educational background.

PhD (Post Graduate studies)
The Postgraduate studies programme is focused on a research training program for research and development, expertise and consulting.
The PhD program is accessible to students who have obtained their Master’s degree or to international students with an equivalent degree. Postgraduate students are supervised by an academic thesis supervisor in the scientific research units of the University of Burgundy.
This program is conducted within six accredited Postgraduate Schools.
The degree has a duration of 36 months = 3 academic years.
The student works towards a final thesis that is presented and defended in front of a jury before being awarded the title of PhD from the University of Burgundy.
