International Policy

Strengthening our international policy is a core component of the University's long-term strategy.

Our international strategy is based around:

International Partners

With over 300 European and worldwide partners, the University of Burgundy has made the internationalisation of its teaching and research missions a main focus for many years.

The University has prioritised developing relationships with Asia (China, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam) and Eastern Europe (most notably new members of the European Union).

In addition, bilateral cooperation ties developed during the 20th century have made many joint bachelor, master and PhD degrees possible, such as with the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany. In some cases, these partnerships involve a third academic partner.

uB also maintains partnerships in many other parts of the world where there is a particular scientific interest. Some notable examples include Mexico for its automobile industry, Brazil for viti- and viniculture, and Niger for earth sciences.
