A new American Partnership for UB

University of Burgundy has signed a new cooperative agreement with Linfield College between the universities' vine and wine and language departments.

The American delegation from Linfield College arrived at University of Burgundy on Wednesday 24th of January 2018 in order to sign the new collaborative agreement between the universities.

Details of the agreement

In respect to the Vine and Wine department (IUVV):

  • Organizing short programs at both University of Burgundy and Linfield College
  • Placing students from both establishments within the partner's vine and wine industry for work experience placements
  • Collaborating on research projects

In respect to the language department (UFR Langues et Communication)

  • Establishing a student exchange, 2 students for the entire year or 4 students for a single semester per academic year.
  • Sending a master level student from University of Burgundy to work as a language assistant in Linfield College.

This new agreement will be active from the beginning of the 2018/2019 academic year.

Linfield College is a private establishment founded in 1858 in McMinnville in the state of Oregon, USA. Specializing in Liberal arts, the college comprises of 2300 students and offers 4 year bachelor degree courses.

Oregon itself is also considered as one of the world's premier wine régions, with one of it's most important grapes being the Pinot Noir.
