By choosing the participation fee option with accommodation, you will have the opportunity to stay two extra days in Burgundy - in addition to the Staff Week programme - and hence visit various must-see attractions, museums, vineyards or picturesque villages.

What to do in Dijon if you have free time
- Take a walk in Parc de la Colombière.
- Bring your bathing suit and go to the beach at Kir lake or just take a walk around the lake.
- Follow the Owl trail.
- Visit the market on Friday or Saturday morning.
- Visit public museums – free entrance!
- Go shopping at one of the biggest commercial centres in eastern France – Toison d'Or.
- Visit the construction site of the future Cité internationale de la gastronomie (International city of gastronomy), tram T2, stop Monge.
Before you leave, try to taste as many of the following Burgundy specialties as possible:
- Dijon mustard and its numerous flavours (brands such as Maille, Fallot...).
- Pain d'épice and nonnettes (gingerbread).
- Burgundy snails.
- Bœuf bourguignon (beef in red wine).
- Oeufs en meurette (eggs in red wine).
- Gaston Gérard chicken.
- Coq au vin (rooster in wine).
- Jambon persillé (ham with herbs).
- Gougères (baked savoury choux pastry with cheese).
- Crème de cassis (cassis liqueur).
- Kir (white wine and cassis liqueur).
- Anis de Flavigny (candy from picturesque Burgundy village Flavigny-sur-Ozerain).
- Cheese: Époisses de Bourgogne (Caution: very stinky! But so delicious!), Délice de Bourgogne, Saint-Florentin.
- And of course the famous Burgundy wine!
